Callaway Livestock held their monthly Special Bred Cow/Heifer and Pairs sale Thursday evening with a large crowd on hand. Overall a very good quality offering of young bred cows mostly 3-5 years of age with one consignment of near 200 hd of 3-5 yrs in the 3rd stage all selling with good demand. Also in the consignment was a nice offering of bred heifers in the 3rd stage and several 1st calf heifer pairs with 300 lb calves bred back in the 1st stage selling from 5500.00-6100.00 per pair. Several groups of 7 yrs to short solid mouth bred cows along with aged cows in the 2nd and 3rd stage in the offering with several consignments of pairs ranging mostly from 4 yrs to short solid mouth with 150-300 lb calves by side.
