Callaway Livestock held their monthly Special Bred Cow/Heifer and Pairs sale Thursday evening with a large crowd on hand. Overall a nice offering of young bred cows mostly 3-6 years of age all selling with good demand mostly in the 2nd stage. Also in the consignment was a nice offering of bred heifers in the 2nd and 3rd stage and couple pkgs of 1st calf heifer pairs and a few young cows 3-5 yrs with 350-400 lb calves bred back in the 1st stage. Several groups of 7 yrs to short solid mouth bred cows along with aged cows in the 2nd and 3rd stage in the offering with several consignments of pairs ranging mostly from 4 yrs to short solid mouth with 150-300 lb calves by side. Good portion of the trade area has turned very dry and in need of rain.
