Callaway Livestock held their monthly Special Bred Cow, Heifer and Pairs sale Thursday evening with a large crowd on hand. Dry weather and short grass for this time of year brought more cows to town. The feature attraction was near 150 head of a nice quality offering of 1st calf heifer pairs with the balance 3-5 yrs with 125-250 lb calves by side several bred back in the 1st stage selling with moderate to good demand. Also selling was a nice quality offering of young mostly 3-5 year old bred cows mostly in the 2nd stage selling with moderate good demand. Overall a nice offering of young replacement heifer pairs and young bred cows. Also selling was a large offering of slaughter cows.
