Compared to last week, steer calves weighing 450-500 lbs sold mostly 5.00-10.00 higher, with 500-600 lbs trading steady to firm, 6 weight steers sold mostly steady to 5.00 higher and the pot loads of yearling steers sold with a higher undertone on very limited comparisons with last week. Heifer calves weighing 400-500 lbs and 550-600 lbs sold 5.00-15.00 higher with 500-550 lbs selling with a sharply higher undertone with over all quality and condition much better this week, over 600 lbs were lightly tested. Demand was good on a moderate offering as buyers remain very active. Last week's cash fed cattle market hit all time highs mostly 255.00-257.00 giving support to the market as well. Several stick out sales included the pot loads of steers with 180 hd weighing 909 to 914 lbs selling from 353.00-354.00; 55 hd of steers weighing 1009 lbs at 330.25. Slaughter cows sold steady to firm.
