Compared to last week, steer calves weighing 400-650 lbs and heifer calves weighing 400-500 lbs and 600-650 lbs all sold mostly steady with the 5 weight heifers trading lower, 500-550 lbs on a much lighter offering this week sold with a lower undertone with 550-600 lbs selling steady to 10.00 lower. Last week's receipts had a lot more large strings of 4 and 5 weight steer and heifer calves in the offering with several 50-80 hd strings as overall quality was not as deep as last week. Bulk of this week's receipts weighed 400-650 lbs. There were a part load of steers weighing 742 lbs and one pot load of yearling steers weighing 996 lbs that sold with a firm undertone. Demand was good on a moderate offering. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady with the bulk of the slaughter cows boning and lean average and low dressing cows.
