Compared to last week, a much larger offering this week with few good comparisons with steer calves under 550 lbs selling with a sharply higher undertone, 550-650 lbs sold fully steady to firm and over 650 lbs including the pot loads of big yearlings weighing over 800 lbs all sold with a firm to higher undertone, several groups of 750-800 lb steers sold firm to 4.00 higher with last week's offering. Feeder heifers weighing 400-700 lbs all sold with a firm undertone. Demand was good on a moderate offering, with overall quality running fairly deep on the calves and especially the yearling offering all sold on and active market. Several stick out sales included 44 steers weighing 509 lbs at 387.50, 120 steers weighing 905 lbs at 268.75, pot load steers weighing 914 lbs at 265.25, 90 heifers weighing 561 lbs 330.00 and pot load heifers weighing 701 lbs at 271.75. Slaughter cows sold 5.00-10.00 lower compared to last week's very active market.
