Compared to last week, 400-500 lb steer calves traded mostly steady, 500-650 lbs sold steady to 3.00 lower, 700 lb steers were not well tested with last week, 800-850 lb sold steady to firm with 850-900 lb steers selling mostly 2.00 lower. Feeder heifers weighing 400-450 lbs sold steady to 4.00 higher, 450-500 lbs sold steady, 500-600 lbs sold steady to 4.00 lower, 650-700 lbs traded steady with 700-750 lbs selling mostly 3.00 lower. Slaughter cows sold firm to 3.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good on moderate to heavy offering. Lot of good yearling cattle in the offering weighing 700-900 lbs with several part loads and eight pot loads in the offering. Feeder cattle contracts took the brunt of Monday's losses on the CME with boxed-beef values continuing their sharp slide has the fed cattle market anticipating lower prices this week.
