Compared to the last auction two weeks ago, steer calves weighing 400-500 lbs sold firm to 2.00 higher, 500-600 lb steers sold fully steady, 600-700 lbs traded steady to spots 2.00 lower, 7 weight steers were lightly tested, with the best test on big yearling steers weighing over 850 lbs sold with a steady to firm undertone. Feeder heifers weighing 400-500 lbs sold steady to 2.00 lower, 500-600 lbs sold steady with 600-650 lbs selling steady to 2.00 lower, and heifers weighing over 650 lbs selling with a steady to firm undertone. Slaughter cows sold firm to 4.00 higher. Callaway Livestock Center came back from the Memorial Day Holiday with their largest sale ever of feeder cattle on offer. A large offering of load lots, with many strings of top quality feeder cattle on hand had and active market with plenty of buyers on hand as feeders sold with good demand.
