Compared to last week no test on yearling feeder steers. Feeder heifers sold 5.00 to 10.00 lower. First really good test of the bawling fall calf run. Few, comparable sales of steers and heifers sold unevenly steady to the light test last week. Slaughter cows sold 6.00 to 10.00 lower and bulls sold steady to 5.00 lower. Demand was moderate to good. Spotty rain showers across the state. Bulk of the state is very dry with little to nothing to eat in most range pastures. Some cattlemen have been supplementing cattle through the summer. Appears the fall calf run has started at some auction locations.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Wyoming barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
