First reported feeder sale in several weeks a market trend is not applicable. Slaughter and feeding cows sold unevenly steady with slaughter bulls 2.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good at both reporting auctions. Few, fresh bawling calves hit the market this week and the offering only had spring time vaccinations. Light and spotty rain across some of the state giving people in the agriculture world hope that more moisture is on the horizon. Hay prices are extremely high for the livestock owner this summer with a limited supply on hand and really good demand has prevailed all year. Quite a lot of hay is getting shipped into the state.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
