Compared to last week, flyweight steers and heifers sold 40.00 higher. All other steer and heifer calves sold 15.00 to 30.00 higher. Not enough yearling steers for a trend and yearling heifers sold unevenly steady. Slaughter cows sold steady except lean feeding cows sold 5.00 lower. Demand was very good for fresh bawling calves throughout the week. Wow would be the best way to describe the current calf market. Most calves are over 100.00 per cwt higher than some of the video sales this summer and producers thought that was a very good market at that time. Ranchers have been thankful for the rain showers in the northwestern and eastern areas of the state. Helping some grass grow a little before the killing frost arrives putting the plants dormant till spring. Plenty of available hay for sale across the state with movement rather slow this week.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Wyoming barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
