Compared to last week, steers less than 600 lbs sold 10.00 lower, over 600 lbs sold steady. Heifers less than 600 lbs sold 8.00 lower and over 600 lb sold unevenly steady. Slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher and slaughter bull sold 6.00 higher. Bulk of the calf and feeder run comprised of packages throughout the week. Wintery weather at the auction locations saw smaller in-house crowd of buyers but the internet was active. Some light rain turning to snow across a large portion of the state at weeks close. This is very much needed moisture! Hopefully Mother Nature will continue to provide more moisture throughout the spring.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Wyoming barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
