Compared to last week bawling steers calves sold unevenly steady. Yearling weight steers from 600 to 800 lbs sold 10.00 higher. Over 800 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher. Bawling heifer calves and yearling heifers sold 10.00 higher. Most slaughter cows sold steady except breaker cows sold 4.00 lower. Slaughter bulls 3.00 lower. Demand was moderate to good for calves and feeders. Buyers prefer to purchase calves with precondition shots especially calves that have had a respiratory booster before shipment.
