Compared to last week steers under 600 lbs sold steady, over 600 lbs sold 2.00 to 6.00 lower except 800 lbs sold 7.00 higher. Heifers under 500 lbs sold sharply higher, over 500 lbs sold unevenly steady. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 5.00 higher. Demand was good at all reporting auctions. Torrington Livestock market held a qualifying event for the WLAC with 36 auctioneers chanting to show their skills to judges across the county. Each contestant sold 6 drafts of cattle at the special Monday auction with 10 auctioneers being qualified for championship.
