Compared to last week: Cows were too lightly tested for a market comparison and the light test of bulls sold with weak undertone. Feeder steers 700-850 lbs sold unevenly and steers over 900 lbs sold 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Heifers sold mostly 1.00 to 5.00 lower, though heifers 800-850 lbs sold 2.00 higher. No comparable tests for steers or heifers under 700 lbs, steers 850-900 lbs, or heifers over 1000 lbs. Demand was moderate to good. Today, September 11, Torrington Livestock Auction is holding a qualifying event for the world livestock auctioneer championship, and is sponsored by the Livestock Marketing Association (LMA).
