Compared to last week slaughter and feeder cows sold 3.00 to 5.00 lower. Slaughter bulls traded mostly steady throughout the day. Some of the slaughter cows are getting shipped to the west coast for slaughter. No trend on feeder cattle but still a very active market. A few packages of summer and fall calving cows along with some pairs. Rain in the local trade area has helped forage grow and has limited first cutting hay to be mowed and baled. Not many complaining overall as this moisture will help with the next cutting and has delayed some from having to irrigate.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
