Compared to last week most lots of steers suited for grass sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher, feeder steers sold steady to 3.00 higher. Heifers sold 4.00 to 7.00 higher. Slaughter and feed cows sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher with breaker cows 5.00 to 6.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Demand continues to be good to very good for all livestock through auction markets. Near most of the state is out of the drought monitor with just the far west and east sides still in different sectors of dryness. Ample snow in high elevations will build up supplies of water when the runoff starts. Currently the state's Snotels are at 126% of median with the basin high of 165% and the basin low of 107%. Last year the state was at 78% and at 85% in 2021.
