Compared to last week, steer calves under 500 lbs sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher, over 500 lbs sold mostly steady to instances 2.00 higher on 700 lbs steers. Heifer calves under 500 lbs sold 3.00 lower, over 500 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher. No test on slaughter cows and bulls. Blizzard conditions mid-week in Torrington, shifted feeder cattle sale to Friday and slaughter cows and bulls will sell on Monday Dec 19. Overall demand was mostly good. Cattle condition and fill was in buyers favor after brutal winds, snow and cold temperatures prevailed. Have a very Merry Christmas!
