Compared to last week on comparable offerings of steers sold 3.00 to 5.00 higher and heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher. Slaughter and feeder cows sold 2.00 to 3.00 higher with lean cows instances 6.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold 2.00 higher on thin test. Demand was good. Few, light spring calves sold in the run this week. With pastures drying up and limited winter feed resources some calves are starting to make there way through the auction markets. A little earlier than most years but so far demand for the bawling calves has been good. Few, complete dispersals of next year spring bred cows on hand Friday.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
