Not enough comparable offerings of feeder cattle from last week for a market comparison. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher with the advance on lean cows. Slaughter bulls sold steady. Cow/calf pairs sold steady. Some complete dispersals and partial sell down on cow herds as dry conditions continue across a large area. Short grass is a concern, but the big issue is water resources is getting very short in many locations. These pairs are going to other states where there has been ample moister and green grass for grazing. * Next released report will be Tuesday, July 6.*

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
