Compared to last week fly-weight steers sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher on a thin test. All other weights of steers sold unevenly steady. Light weight heifers sold steady to 2.00 higher, 500 lbs sold 3.00 higher, 600 to 800 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 lower and over 800 lbs fully steady. Slaughter cows sold steady except lean cows and slaughter bull sold 2.00 higher. Not enough comparable bred cows and pairs last week for a market comparison. Demand was moderate to good throughout the week. With most areas of the state dry, ranch managers continue to liquidate some of their cow herds and pairs. Spotty rain showers have been reported in Wyoming, but most grazing areas are still short and stressed. Next release date will be Tuesday June, 1 due to the Memorial Day Holiday.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Wyoming barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
