Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold unevenly steady on a light test. Slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower except Lean cows and bulls sold steady. Demand was good for the short list of calves and feeders with moderate demand for all other cattle. Good chance auctions will continue to see large supply of weigh-up cows coming to town as the dryness continues and expands across the state. Most alfalfa producers on the eastern side of the state have there first cutting put up while the western producers have been cutting first this week.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Wyoming barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
