Compared to last week steers calves sold steady to 5.00 higher, instances 8.00 higher, except 600-700 lb steers 3.00-4.00 lower, heifer calves steady to 4.00 lower, yearlings not well tested but definite steady to firm undertone noted; slaughter and feeder cows sold 3.00-6.00 lower, slaughter bulls steady. Bred heifers and cows sold steady to firm on comparable sales. Feeder cattle offerings included mainly preconditioned and long-time weaned calves. Demand was moderate to good. Riverton Livestock Auction will continue to sell load-lot feeder cattle every Tuesday, however, the slaughter cows and bulls will sell on Friday through the fall run. That Friday sale will not be reported or included in this report.
