Compared to last week steer and calves sold mostly steady to 4.00 higher with the yearling steers and heifers steady to 5.00 higher on a lighter test than past weeks. Demand continues good to very good with the weaned preconditioned calves in high demand. Slaughter and feeder cows sold unevenly steady and the slaughter bulls steady to 1.00 higher. Another special bred cow sale at Torrington Livestock this week with a very good selection of reputation bred heifers and cows. Nebraska feedlot trade generally steady with live sales at 115.00, few up to 116.50, and dressed sales 1.00 higher at 182.00. Riverton Livestock Auction will continue to sell load-lot feeder cattle every Tuesday, however, the slaughter cows and bulls will sell on Friday through the fall run. That Friday sale will not be reported or included in this report.
