Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers were mostly steady with a few instances of 5.00 higher on heifers. Hot and dry conditions continue to dominate the forecast, with the US Drought Monitor reporting temperatures to be 5 to 9 degrees above average for this time of year. Additionally, the US Drought Monitor shows the past 30 days brought less than half of normal rain to most locations in the Texas Panhandle.
