Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers were 4.00 to 8.00 higher at sales at the beginning of the week. After the board closed in the red on Thursday, sales were 1.00 to 4.00 lower. Demand was good throughout the week. With overall cattle numbers remaining tight, the discount for unweaned calves seems to be smaller than in previous years so far. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady.
