Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 750 lbs 5.00 to 7.00 higher, over 750 lbs unevenly steady. Feeder heifers 3.00 to 7.00 higher. Very good demand for all weights of steers and heifers as the cash fat cattle market sets another new, all-time high price of 231.00. Cattle producers are feeling very optimistic about the market for the remainder of the year and want to make sure they have cattle in their pens. Much needed moisture has finally come to the area giving a good start to the growing season.
