Compared to last week: Another lighter offering this of feeder cattle, steady to higher undertones for steers and heifers. Very good demand remains for all weights of steers and heifers. The market remains very active as feeder cattle sales become more sporadic during the summers months and cattle feeders have to act quick that day or they might not get a chance for several days to buy a set of cattle they really like. Cash fed cattle were lower, but still in the 180s and the Live Cattle futures remain friendly. Grass conditions remain adequate West of the Missouri River, allowing cattle to stay turned out but East River is much drier as rains have been elusive in that area. Slaughter cows 3.00 to 5.00 higher, except Boner cows 1.00 higher, bulls 1.00 to 2.00 higher.
