Compared to last week: Feeder steers over 700lbs steady to 5.00 higher, under 700lbs 7.00-12.00 lower. Feeder heifers over 750lbs 2.00-7.00 higher, under 750lbs 2.00-4.00 lower. Steer calves unevenly steady. Heifer calves 5.00-10.00 lower. Demand good for heavier weight feeders but moderate for calves and stockers. Widespread rainfall has fallen across nearly all of Oklahoma over the past two weeks, providing much-needed relief from drought conditions. Farmers have either begun planting wheat or are preparing to move into the fields. Slaughter cows 2.00-4.00 lower. Lean cows 10.00 lower. Slaughter bulls 3.00 lower. Demand limited. Slaughter and return-to-feed buyers remain highly selective in their purchases, with little to no aggressive bidding, which is continuing to drive slaughter prices lower.
