Compared to last week: Feeder steers steady to 3.00 lower. Feeder heifers 4.00-8.00 lower. Steer calves 5.00-10.00 higher. Heifer calves unevenly steady. Demand moderate for feeders and good for calves. The fall calf run began this week as increased numbers of calves made their way to town. Quality, condition, and days weaned continue to play a significant role in buyer demand. This week marked the first time since mid-July that temperatures remained below 100 degrees throughout the week, providing much-needed relief from the summer heat. Slaughter cow 6.00-7.00 lower. Lean cows 1.00 lower. Slaughter bulls 5.00 lower. Since August 1st, slaughter cows are 33.00-34.00 lower and slaughter bulls are 30.00 lower.
