Compared to last week: Combined weighted average for 7 auctions: Ada, Apache, McAlester, Oklahoma City, OKC West, Tulsa and Woodward. Feeder steers under 700 lbs sold steady to 3.00 lower, over 700 lbs steady to 4.00 higher. Feeder heifers mostly steady to 3.00 higher. Demand moderate to good for feeder cattle and calves. Steer and heifer calves mostly steady on a light test, but instances of 9.00-11.00 higher. A cold front moved across the state this week bringing a winter mix. Some areas received rain while others mostly in western Oklahoma received snow and ice. Bitter cold temperatures and muddy ground has hinder some cattle movement this week. Slaughter cows sold steady to 8.00 lower. Slaughter bulls steady to 5.00 lower. Demand remains light for cows and bulls.
