Compared to last week: Combined weighted average for 7 auctions: Ada, Apache, McAlester, OKC, OKC West, Tulsa, and Woodward. Feeders steers and heifers sold steady to 5.00 lower. Steer and heifers calves lightly tested with a lower undertone noted. Demand moderate. CME cattle futures settled lower throughout this week. Thunderstorms moved across the trade area at the beginning of the week hindering cattle movement. Warm spring weather is expected throughout the weekend, but storms are expected to move through most of next week. Slaughter cows sold steady to 7.00 higher. Slaughter bulls steady to 4.00 higher. Packer demand good to very good. Supply included 49 percent going to packers; 51 percent replacement cattle and pairs.
