Compared to last week steers less than 500 lbs sold 20.00 higher over 500 lbs sold steady to 10.00 higher. Heifers less than 500 lbs sold 6.00 higher over 500 lbs sold steady to 10.00 higher. Demand was good to very good for some weights of steers and heifers. Demand was also good for bred heifers and cows. Feeder cattle buyers were aggressive this week bidding and purchasing cattle as sales will be limited the next two weeks. Feedlots saw a slight upward trend in their negotiated cash sales throughout the week. Live sales sold unevenly steady at 228.00 and dressed sale sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher from 356.00 to 358.00. Cattle on Feed on Friday showed on Feed at 98%, Placed at 89% and Marketed at 88%. Wishing you a Merry Christmas!!
