Compared to last week, steers less than 600 lbs sold 20.00 to 30.00 higher, 6 weights sold steady, over 700 lbs sold 5.00 to 8.00 higher. Heifers less than 600 lbs sold 20.00 higher, 6 weights sold fully steady, over 700 lbs sold 4.00 to 7.00 higher. Demand was good to very good throughout the week. Some of the light calves are going to the southern plains to be kicked out on wheat pastures. Only a couple more full weeks' worth of feeder cattle sales in Nebraska and some buyers are having to procure cattle to help offset previous profits for the year. Some gains on the CME cattle boards helped fuel a higher market across the state too. Few, more buyers in attendance with most of the offerings being weaned for over 45 days will help transition them to the feedlot, hopefully without any setbacks in health. Feedlots sold live sales 10.00 higher from 220.00 to 222.00 and dressed sales sold 10.00 to 15.00 higher from 340.00 to 345.00.
