Compared to last week steer calves less than 500 lbs sold 15.00 higher. Over 500 lbs sold unevenly steady. Heifer calves and yearlings sold unevenly steady. Demand was good to very good throughout the week. Feedlot traded kicked off Friday with live sales 4.00 to 5.00 higher from 234.00 to 235.00 and dressed sales 2.00 higher at 362.00. Quite few, top quality calves hit the market across the reporting auctions this week. Most would of had a fall precondition vaccination program. Calves with out this protocol sold at a steep discount. Feedlots and backgrounding lots continue to lay feed into the pits for the next years worth of cattle feeding. Early reports most farmers are happy with current crop yields.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
