Compared to last week, steers and heifers less than 600 lbs lightly tested for a market comparison. Yearling steers over 700 lbs sold 10.00 lower. Yearling heifers from 700 to 900 lbs sold steady to 2.00 lower and over 900 lbs sold 6.00 lower. Demand was mostly good. First real test of the bawling calf market, so it is hard to compared bawlers to the weaned out fall calves the last few weeks. Yearling did go a little lower as the CME cattle boards traded lower to sharply lower through the week. Silage choppers in full swing with some feedlots getting ready for high moisture corn. Spotty rain showers across the state over the weekend. Feedlot traded live cattle 4.00 to 5.00 lower at 238.00 and dressed sales sold 8.00 lower at 375.00.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
