Compared to last week steers and heifers sold unevenly steady. Demand was moderate to good for calves and feeders with good demand for pairs. Nebraska feedlots traded live sales from 190.00 to 193.00 and dressed sales from 301.00 to 309.00 on Friday afternoon. Spotty rain showers across the area continues to delay corn and soybean planting along with first cutting of alfalfa. Warmer weather and more sunshine is in the forecast and should allow many producers to wrap of spring plantings and start baling some hay.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
