Compared to last week most weights of steers sold 2.00 to 8.00 lower except 600 weights sold 7.00 higher. Heifers less than 600 lbs sold 4.00 to 5.00 higher with offering over 600 lbs steady to 8.00 lower on a very thin test of the market. Demand was moderate to good. Blizzard conditions blew across the state cancelling early week sales and with the Good Friday and Easter weekend many auctions opted not to hold a weekly sale. Nebraska only reported two auction markets during the week. Normal sale schedule will prevail the first full week of April. Of course, some auctions are holding sales every other week. Nebraska feedlots live sales steady to 1.00 lower from 189.00-190.00 and dressed sales traded steady to 3.00 lower from 299.00 to 302.00.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
