Compared to last week most lots of steers sold 6.00 to 10.00 lower, except 700 to 900 lbs steers sold steady to 4.00 higher. Heifers under 600 lbs sold 5.00 lower, over 600 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good. Some calves were shipped to be wintered in the Southern Plains. Area feedlots sold a light supply of market ready slaughter steers and heifers a little higher than last week. Dressed sales sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher at 292.00 and live sales sold steady from 184.00 to 185.00 all on a thin test. Farmers still combining corn with moisture in a lot of places still running in the high teens. Several reports of corn 18-20 percent. Some ethanol plants have shut farmers off their contract deliveries as the corn has to be less than 17 percent moisture at the plant. Veterans day coming up this weekend. Please remember what all our service men and women have done.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
