Nebraska Weekly Livestock Auction Summary

Receipts 3,714Last week 14,358Year ago 10,183

Compared to last week most lots of steers sold steady except 900 lbs sold 6.00 lower. Heifers unevenly steady under 800 lbs, over 800 lbs sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good. Feedlots, backgrounding lots have been busy with silage chopping and irrigated tonnage should be very good. Dryland tonnage rather light in many areas. Brutal hot weather all week making feedlot owners very busy taking care of all livestock needs. But on an upside hay production was very good with several tons of non-rained on hay baled across the state. Nebraska feedlots lost some ground on the cash trade this week. Live and dressed sales sold 2.00 to 3.00 lower at 182.00 and 290.00 to 292.00 respectively.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
