Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves sold steady to 3.00 lower, with the exception of 3 weight steers selling 4.00 to 6.00 higher on limited comparison from last week. Yearling steers sold steady to 3.00 higher while yearling heifers sold steady to 2.00 higher. Demand was moderate for calves with good demand for yearling feeder cattle again this week. Calf runs are in the forefront this week with many coming to town. Dry conditions in the state have now put over 98 percent of the state in some sort of drought designation; the highest percentage since July 2013. Nebraska feedlot managers have sold light volume of dressed sales so far this week 2.00 to 3.00 higher at 170.00.
