Compared to last week steers under 800 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher and over 800 lbs sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Most weights of heifers sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Offering this week comprised of fall calves, yearlings with some of those coming off grass, fall bred cows and a few pairs. Demand was good for all classes of cattle sold. Feedlot trade slid back a few bucks per cwt this week as hot weather has arrived and feedlots are willing sellers to get cattle shipped. This weeks' live cash sales sold from 95.00 to 98.00 and dressed sales from 153.00-156.00. As, of Thursday MPR afternoon report on negotiated cash sales total 31,700 head. Spotty rain showers in some areas of the Cornhusker state. More areas are starting to show signs of lack of moisture this week.
