Yearling steers sold 7.00 to 8.00 higher and yearling heifers sold 5.00 to 7.00 higher with 900 lbs heifers steady. Demand was moderate to good for calves with good demand for the short supply of yearlings. With the up and down swings in the weather pattern in October buyers have been seeking out calves with fall precondition shots. Calves with only springtime vaccinations have been selling for at least 10.00 cwt less than same weight of calves with fall precondition shots. Few, feedlot sales midday Friday morning sold at 180.00 dressed.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the Nebraska barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
