Compared to last week, yearling steers over 800 lbs sold 2.00 to 7.00 lower. Heifers under 800 lbs sold 6.00 to 10.00 lower with 800 lbs heifers selling 4.00 lower. Despite a lower market, demand was good for yearling feeder cattle especially for ones coming off of summer grass. Nebraska feedlot trade is slow to kick off this week. So far, through Thursday afternoon around 15,000 head of negotiated cash cattle have sold to area packers with dressed sales ranging from 180.00 to mostly 185.00 and live sales at 114.00.
