Compared to last week, steers under 800 lbs sold 4.00 to 8.00 higher, over 800 lbs sold 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Heifers under 600 lbs sold 12.00 higher and over 600 lbs sold 5.00 to 7.00 higher. Demand was good to very good for fall calves and yearling feeders coming off of summer grass. Feedlot trade is nearly at a standstill at press time. A few, live sales traded at 114.50 and a few dressed sales sold at 183.00 on Thursday. The bulk of the trade should happen sometime on Friday afternoon.
