Receipts 2,856Last week 2,010Year ago 3,422

Compared to last week: Steer and heifer calves sold with higher undertones, yearling feeder steers and heifers steady to 3.00 higher. Very good demand for calves as farmer feeders have gotten a good start on their corn harvest and are ready to take on some calves. Good demand remains for yearlings, supply is very limited as most are cleaned up as it's time for yearlings to be pulled off grass. The fall run is underway now and more calves will be offered in the auctions. Cattle feeders have turned bullish again as the cash fed market pushed back up to 188.00 and the futures complex marches along.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the North Dakota barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
