North Dakota Weekly Cattle Auction Summary

Compared to last week: Too few feeder cattle offered last week to make a comparison with this week. Very good demand for all weights of steers and heifers, especially those light enough for grass. The cash fed cattle market at 183.00 this week is really pushing the bullish mentality of cattle producers and driving the feeder cattle market higher. The futures are greatly discounted compared to the cash fed cattle market, around 15.00 below the cash. The grazing outlook is starting off favorable and looking good. This report will next be released when receipts warrant market reporting coverage.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the North Dakota barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
