Compared to last week: In a narrow comparison, feeder steers steady to 4.00 higher, except 800-850 lbs 10.00 to 13.00 higher, feeder heifers steady to 3.00 higher. Another winter storm this week moved across the region, resulting in the cancellation of some auctions and much reduced offerings at those that did host a sale. Demand was good for all weights of steers and heifers as there is much optimism in cattle country. CME Feeder Cattle contracts above 220.00, Nov at 224.00, is really building a fire under the feeder cattle market, especially for yearling operators. Much larger offerings expected at the auctions next week if the weather allows.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the North Dakota barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
