Compared to two weeks ago: Feeder steers under 500 lbs 10.00 to 15.00 higher, over 500 lbs 3.00 to 7.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 550 lbs 10.00 to 13.00 higher, over 550 lbs 3.00 to 6.00 higher. Very good demand for all weights of steers and heifers as the moisture outlook and the cash fed cattle market continue to improve.

The market is the most active for light fleshed steers to make yearlings out of as the CME Feeder Cattle contracts have risen to the 220.00 level for the fall months.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the North Dakota barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
