North Dakota Weekly Cattle Auction Summary

Mon Jan 2, 2023
USDA Livestock, Poultry & Grain Market News · Federal-State Market News Service, Bismarck, ND (LS-BM)
Receipts 9,223Last week 10,422Year ago 0

No recent price comparisons available as most auction markets did not host a feeder cattle in the last three weeks due to the winter storms and Christmas break. Moderate to good demand for feeder steers and heifers but the winter storm that hit South Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa this week have made an impact on the market as cattle feeders in those areas are dealing with the tough conditions. Larger auction receipts expected next week as the weather improves.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
Source: USDA AMS, as filed — nothing recomputed and nothing rounded. This summary aggregates the same sales the North Dakota barn reports cover, so it must never be added to a state total built from those barns.
